Upon your arrival in Tangier, we pick you up from your accommodation, the airport, or the port. Known as the “Bride of the North,” this coastal city sits where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic. We start by exploring Cape Spartel and the legendary Hercules Cave. After free time for lunch, we drive through the scenic Rif Mountains and Tetouan, making stops for panoramic views along the way. Arrive in Chefchaouen, the famous “Blue Pearl,” for an overnight stay in an authentic Riad.
After breakfast, enjoy time wandering through the iconic blue-washed alleyways of Chefchaouen. Next, we travel south to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis (a UNESCO World Heritage site), famous for its intact mosaics, arches, and columns. We then drive to Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities, to visit Bab Mansour, Sahrij Souani, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. Afterwards, we head to Fes for an overnight stay in a traditional Riad.
After breakfast, we head south towards Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its alpine architecture. We then stop at the Cedar Forest near Azrou to see the native Barbary macaques. After lunch in Midelt, our route continues through the scenic Ziz Valley, offering breathtaking views of palm groves and oases. By late afternoon, we reach Merzouga, where you will mount camels for a trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes to watch a magical desert sunset. Overnight stay at a desert camp under the stars.
Wake up early to catch a stunning Saharan sunrise, then ride your camel back to Merzouga for breakfast. We begin our journey towards Rissani to visit its lively traditional market, then proceed to the dramatic Todra Gorges, where you can walk along the massive limestone canyon walls. We then explore the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO site that has served as a backdrop for numerous major films and series. Afterwards, we cross the High Atlas Mountains via the winding Tizi n’Tichka pass, enjoying panoramic mountain views along the route.
