You will head toward the majestic High Atlas Mountains, climbing through the winding Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 meters / 7,415 feet). This route offers dramatic panoramic views of traditional Berber mud-brick villages clinging to the hillsides, with flexible stops along the way for coffee and photography.
Next, you will descend the eastern slopes to reach the historic Ksar of Aït Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its earthen clay architecture and its role as a backdrop for legendary films like Gladiator and The Mummy. You will have time to explore the narrow streets of the ancient Kasbah and enjoy a traditional lunch at a local restaurant.
Continuing past Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa,” you will travel along the scenic “Road of 1001 Kasbahs” and through the lush Skoura Oasis. After passing through the Valley of Roses (Kelaat M’gouna), famous for its local rosewater cooperatives, the day concludes with your arrival in the dramatic Dades Valley. Here, you will check into a local boutique hotel or guesthouse, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, and rest for the night.
Following breakfast at your accommodation, you will take a short drive to look out over the spectacular canyon views and the unique rock formations of the Dades Gorges, often called the “Monkey Fingers.” The tour then moves eastward toward Tinghir to enter the jaw-dropping Todra Gorge, where limestone canyon walls tower 300 meters high. A refreshing, leisurely walk along the cool riverbed gives you a true sense of the canyon’s scale.
The route then takes you through changing desert landscapes and ancient subterranean irrigation oases, stopping for lunch in a local town like Jorf or Tinjdad.

You will switch from your vehicle to a camel caravan (or a private 4×4, depending on your preference) to trek deep into the undulating sand dunes. The trek brings you to an authentic desert camp nestled in the dunes, where you are welcomed with hot mint tea, followed by a delicious Moroccan dinner.
