Morocco tour From Marrakech in 7 days

Day 1Arrival in Marrakech "The Red city"

Upon arrival in Marrakech, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your Riad.

On the first day of our 7 Days Heritage Tour from Marrakech to Casablanca, you will have a guided sightseeing tour of Marrakech.Your local guide will then lead you on a journey through the “Red City,” visiting the Koutoubia Mosque, the stunning Bahia Palace, and the exotic Majorelle Garden.

Your day concludes in the heart of the Old Medina, navigating the vibrant souk bazaars before reaching the legendary Jemaa el-Fnaa square, alive with storytellers and traditional performers.

Day 2 Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley

We depart at 8:00 AM, driving through the majestic High Atlas Mountains. The journey takes us over the Tizi n’Tichka pass, the highest in Morocco at 2,260 metres  in altitude, offering breathtaking views of Berber villages nestled in the valleys. We’ll stop to capture some photos of the panoramic views and traditional Berber settlements along the way.

Continuing our journey, We will visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou, a historic fortified Kasbah famous as a backdrop for movies like Gladiator.

Then takes us to the city of Ouarzazate,, the “Hollywood of Africa,” and enter the “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs” to reach our overnight stay in the picturesque Dades Valley.

Day 3Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert

We depart the Dades Valley and continue our 7 Days Heritage Tour from Marrakech towards the road leading to the Todra Gorge along the Dades Valley. This impressive canyon is a favorite among international rock climbers. We’ll take a stroll through the oasis to the great Todra Gorge, where you’ll marvel at the deep, orange limestone crevasse and its stunning vistas.

Continuing our journey south towards the Sahara, you’ll witness a wealth of sights—beautiful oases, palm groves, landscapes, ancient ruins, and adobe kasbahs. We’ll stop for lunch along the way before passing through Erfoud, a region rich in prehistoric fossils and minerals.

The end destination for today is the sea of sand dunes of the Erg Chebbi in Merzouga. Here, your camel will be waiting to transport you across the towering, golden dunes of the Moroccan Sahara to your desert camp. You’ll have the opportunity to watch the sunset, try your hand at sandboarding, and spend the night in traditional desert yurts enjoying the tranquil desert ambiance under a blanket of stars with local music and dinner.

 

Day 4Merzouga Desert – Midelt – Ifrane – Fes

Your morning begins with the unforgettable sight of the sun rising over the majestic peaks of the Erg Chebbi dunes—a moment of pure Saharan magic.

After enjoying breakfast at the camp, we depart the golden sands of Merzouga, with the option to return via a final camel trek or a 4×4 excursion. Our journey north takes us through the spectacular Ziz Valley, home to one of the largest palm oases in the world, where we’ll pause for breathtaking panoramic photos.

As we cross the Middle Atlas Mountains, we stop for a relaxed lunch in the high-plains town of Midelt. The landscape then shifts to the lush greenery of the Azrou cedar forests, where you’ll have the chance to meet the native Barbary macaques in their natural habitat.

Before arriving in the imperial city of Fes, we visit Ifrane, often called the “Little Switzerland of Morocco,” to admire its alpine architecture and the famous stone lion landmark. Your day concludes as we enter the historic gates of Fes for a restful evening in your Riad.

Day 5Full Day Exploring Fes Medina

A full day is dedicated to immersing yourself in the rich history of Fes, the spiritual and cultural heart of Morocco. Accompanied by an expert local guide, you will step back in time to explore the world’s oldest active medieval city, founded in the late 8th century by Moulay Idriss II. Your heritage walk through the labyrinthine Medina includes the historic Jewish Quarter (Mellah), vibrant traditional neighborhoods, and the magnificent Bou Inania Madrasa, celebrated for its exquisite Merenid craftsmanship. You will also get a glimpse of the outer courtyard of the famous Al-Qarawiyyin University, recognized as the world’s oldest continuously operating institution of higher learning.

As you navigate the bustling alleyways, you will visit the iconic Chouara Tannery to witness master leatherworkers utilizing centuries-old techniques, and explore lively artisan souks filled with hand-woven textiles, hammered copper, and famous Fassi ceramics. Day 6Fes – Chefchaouen "The Blue City"

Following breakfast at your Riad in Fes, our route takes us toward the ancient Roman city of Volubilis. This expansive UNESCO World Heritage site serves as a captivating open-air museum, offering a peaceful walk through grand triumphal arches, basilicas, and exceptionally preserved mythological mosaics that tell the story of Morocco’s classical past.

From here, we ascend into the scenic, green valleys of the Rif Mountains, heading toward the famous mountain town of Chefchaouen. Known as the “Blue Pearl,” this unique destination captivates visitors with its striking, blue-washed architecture and serene mountain atmosphere.

Upon arrival, you will enjoy an evening walk through the winding, indigo alleys of the Medina. Explore the vibrant local markets, which are filled with distinctive northern handicrafts like hand-woven wool blankets and woven garments. Day 7Chefchaouen – Rabat – Casablanca

Following breakfast, we depart the Rif Mountains and head south toward the Atlantic coast to reach Casablanca, the kingdom’s economic heart.

The highlight of your visit is the majestic Hassan II Mosque, a breathtaking masterpiece of modern Islamic architecture perched dramatically over the ocean. As you explore this landmark, you will marvel at the pinnacle of Moroccan craftsmanship, featuring vast hand-carved marble floors, intricate cedarwood ceilings, and masterful zellige tilework that adorns every corner.
