Upon arrival in Tetouan, set at the foot of the Rif Mountains, we will explore its UNESCO-listed Medina—celebrated for its unique Hispano-Moorish architecture, white-washed buildings, and traditional artisan quarters. After enjoying lunch and driving past the coastal port of Capo Negro, we continue through scenic mountain roads to Chefchaouen. Begin your morning wandering the tranquil, blue-painted alleyways and colorful artisan markets of Chefchaouen before departing south. Our first stop is Volubilis, Morocco’s best-preserved ancient Roman archaeological site. Explore its towering triumphs, ancient basilicas, and remarkably intact floor mosaics with a local expert guide. Next, drive to the nearby imperial city of Meknes. Here, we stop to photograph the grand Bab Mansour gate, visit the historic Moulay Ismail Mausoleum, and admire the massive royal granaries at Sahrij Swani.
