ITINERARY: 3 Day From Marrakech To Merzouga
3 Days Trip from Marrakech

Day 1 Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Gorges

Morning: Departure early from Marrakech. You will drive through the scenic winding roads of the Tizi n’Tichka pass in the High Atlas Mountains (reaching an altitude of 2,260 meters). There will be plenty of stops to take panoramic photos of the traditional Berber villages tucked into the mountainsides.
Lunchtime: Arrive at the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Enjoy a guided walk through this ancient clay fortress, which has served as a filming location for iconic movies and series like Gladiator and Game of Thrones, followed by lunch.
Afternoon: Head towards Ouarzazate (the Hollywood of Africa) and drive along the “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs,” passing through the beautiful Rose Valley (Kelaat M’gouna).
Evening: Arrive at the dramatic Dades Gorges. Dinner and overnight stay in a local hotel or riad surrounded by the unique rock formations.

Day 2Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga Dunes (Erg Chebbi)

Morning: After breakfast, head towards the stunning Todra Gorges near Tinghir. Walk through the spectacular 300-meter-high limestone canyons, a favorite spot for rock climbers and nature lovers.
Afternoon: Continue driving east, passing through the town of Erfoud, world-renowned for its fossil workshops and high-quality dates.
Late Afternoon (The Highlight): Arrive at the edge of the Merzouga desert. Here, you will mount your camels for a trek across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi as the sun begins to set over the horizon.
Night: Arrive at the Berber desert camp. Enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, sit around a roaring campfire listening to live spiritual Gnawa drum music, and sleep in a comfortable desert tent under a canopy of endless stars.

Day 3 Merzouga – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

Early Morning: Wake up early to catch the breathtaking Saharan sunrise as the light transforms the colors of the massive sand dunes. After breakfast, you will trek back on camels (or via 4×4) to Merzouga.
Daytime: Begin the journey back to Marrakech via a different scenic route through the Draa Valley, Morocco’s longest valley lined with millions of date palm trees and ancient fortified villages (Ksour).
