On the first day of your 7 Days Trip From Tangier to the Imperial Cities and Desert, we will pick you up from the airport or port in Tangier. We then drive toward Chefchaouen (the Blue City), passing through Tetouan and the scenic Rif Mountains, where you can enjoy breathtaking views along the way.
Upon arrival, you will have time to explore the blue-washed alleyways before spending the night at your authentic Riad.
After breakfast, our journey continues toward the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, driving through Ouazzane and charming Rif villages. At Volubilis, you will explore Morocco’s best-preserved archaeological site and learn about its historical significance.
Next, we travel to Meknes, a 17th-century imperial city. After lunch, we will tour its historic medina walls, the impressive Bab Mansour gate, and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum before driving directly to Fes for the night.
Today is dedicated to exploring Fes, Morocco’s cultural and spiritual heart. Accompanied by an official local guide, your morning starts with a driving tour to see the Royal Palace Golden Gates, the historic Jewish Quarter (The Mellah), and panoramic views from Borj Sud.
Later, embark on a walking tour through the medieval UNESCO-listed Medina, visiting the Al-Qarawiyyin University, Attarine Madrasa, and the iconic Chouara Tanneries. Overnight stay in Fes.
Leaving Fes early, we travel south toward the Middle Atlas Mountains. We will stop in Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco,” followed by a visit to the Azrou Cedar Forest to see the wild Barbary Macaques. After passing through Midelt for lunch, we journey through the breathtaking Ziz Valley with its vast palm groves. In the late afternoon, we arrive in Merzouga, where you will take a camel trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes to witness a magical sunset before spending the night in a desert camp under the stars.
Wake up early to catch an unforgettable Saharan sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast and a shower, we leave Merzouga toward Rissani and continue to the dramatic Todra Gorges, where towering red limestone cliffs form a magnificent canyon. Take a scenic walk along the river before driving through the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs toward the Dades Valley. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in a hotel overlooking the valley.
After breakfast, we head toward Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Africa,” to view the Taourirt Kasbah and movie studios. Next, we visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou, a famous fortified village featured in movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Following lunch, we cross the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka pass (2,260m altitude), arriving in Marrakech by the evening. Overnight stay in a traditional Riad.
On the final day, explore the vibrant highlights of Marrakech with a local guide. Visit the iconic Koutoubia Mosque, Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, and the bustling souks surrounding the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa square. Depending on your flight details or travel plans, we will transfer you to Marrakech airport or your preferred accommodation, marking the end of your 7-day Moroccan adventure.
