Morocco tour From Casablanca in 9 days

Day 1 Casablanca = Marrakech

Your journey begins in Casablanca, the vibrant economic capital. After a smooth morning pick-up, enjoy a scenic drive towards Marrakech, known as the “Red City.” Upon arrival, check into your accommodation and spend the afternoon soaking in your first impressions of the lively atmosphere. As evening approaches, head to the iconic Jemaa el-Fnaa square, where snake charmers, storytellers, and aromatic food stalls bring the culture of Morocco alive.

Day 2 Full day in Marrakech

Dedicate a full day to exploring Marrakech with a local expert guide. Uncover the rich history behind the towering Koutoubia Mosque, the intricate tilework of the Bahia Palace, and the historic Saadian Tombs. In the afternoon, wander through the colorful, labyrinthine souks filled with spices, textiles, and handmade crafts. End your day with a peaceful stroll through the lush botanical gardens of Jardin Majorelle.

Day 3 Marrakech = High Atlas Mountains = Ouarzazate = Boumalne

Leave Marrakech behind and head into the majestic High Atlas Mountains, crossing the dramatic Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 mètres). Pause to visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou, a famous fortified village (Kasbah) featured in Hollywood movies like Gladiator. Continue through Ouarzazate—the “Hollywood of Africa”—and drive past the fragrant Valley of Roses before settling into the dramatic landscapes of the Dades Valley for the evening.

Day 4 Dades valley = Tinger = Rissani = Merzouga desert

After breakfast, marvel at the towering canyon walls of Todra Gorge, a paradise for nature lovers and climbers. Continue through the oasis town of Rissani, the traditional birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty. By late afternoon, reach the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga. Mount your camel for an unforgettable trek across the golden dunes as the sun sets, arriving at your luxury desert camp for an authentic Berber dinner, music, and stargazing.

Day 5 Merzouga desert = Ziz valley = Ifrane = Fes

Wake up early to catch a breathtaking sunrise over the Saharan dunes. After breakfast, start your northbound trip through the lush Ziz Valley, home to thousands of palm trees. Pass through the cedar forests of Azrou—where you might spot wild Barbary macaques—and stop in Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its alpine-style architecture. Arrive in the imperial city of Fes by late afternoon.

Day 6 Full day in Fes

Step back in time as you explore Fes el-Bali, the world’s largest medieval car-free urban area. Guided by a local expert, navigate the narrow alleys to visit the historical Al-Qarawiyyin University (the world’s oldest operating university), the stunning Bou Inania Medersa, and the famous Chouara Tannery with its vibrant dye pits. Discover artisan workshops crafting leather, ceramics, and metalwork before enjoying a relaxed evening.

Day 7 Fes = Chefchaouen "The Blue City"

In the morning, depart Fes and journey through the rolling green landscapes of the Rif Mountains toward Chefchaouen, the famous “Blue Pearl” of Morocco. Spend your afternoon wandering freely through its charming, tranquil cobblestone streets, where every corner offers a picture-perfect blend of blue-washed walls, Spanish-style architecture, and local handicrafts.

Day 8 Chefchaouen = Rabat = Casablanca

Say goodbye to the Rif Mountains as you head toward the coastal capital, Rabat. Explore the city’s key historical landmarks, including the imposing Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the picturesque Kasbah of the Udayas overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. In the late afternoon, complete your loop by returning to the cosmopolitan city of Casablanca.

Day 9 Casablanca = Transfer to the Airport

Depending on your flight details, start your morning with a visit to the magnificent Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest operating mosques in the world, dramatically perched right over the ocean.
